Theme of the Year

God’s love and salvation through Jesus Christ: God is our Loving Father and Jesus is our saviour.

Main Focus points

  1. God’s creation and His love for humanity
  2. Sin separates us from God
  3. God sent His Son, Jesus, to save us from sin
  4. Jesus is the fulfilment of God’s promise
  5. Jesus ‘birth, teachings, miracles, crucifixion and resurrection.
  6. Jesus is our Saviour, who loves us, forgives us, and leads us to God the Father
Summary of what student would learn
  1. We Can Experience God’s Love and Mercy, through prayer, we can talk to God and feel His love – Develop a habit of prayer
  2. Jesus is present in the Holy Eucharist, and we receive His grace through the Church and sacraments.
  3. Bible is the Word of God. Develop a love for the Bible at an early age
  4. Treat the Bible with respect since it is God’s Word
  5. Basic prayers
  6. Pray every day like saints
  7. The church is a place of prayer, peace, and holiness where we meet God.
  8. How to behave in Church like entering the church quietly and reverently, making the sign of the cross, bow before the altar and tabernacle, to sit quietly during Mass.
