In the year 2006 seven Syro-Malabar families started living in Shepparton and was blessed with a full time priest in August 2016. Faith Formation is an important ministry of St Alphonsa mission, it commenced in 2012 under the guidance of Fr Joseph Pothenparambil. Sunday School was officially inaugurated on January 2013. Currently we have 175 students attending from prep to year 12. We are blessed with 25 competent and zealous catechists. Every year we conduct Bible Kalolsavam, Faith Fest, Annual Day, All Saints day and the students participate with great enthusiasm.
Our vision is to nurture a deep and personal relationship with Jesus Christ in every child by creating a vibrant, faith-filled, and child-safe environment where Catholic Teachings come alive. We strive to make catechism engaging, relevant and joyful – planting seeds of faith that inspires life-long discipleship, spiritual growth and love for God and others.
